Book Review

If you read only one book this year, this is the book to read, A Lifetime Working with Idiots & How to Survive. The Author, Douglas E. Glaeser, takes the reader on a truly amazing -don’t judge a book by its cover- journey. The book is far from simply providing a collection of “how to” and “how not to” chapters. The book is filled with wonderful stories; funny, warm, touching, and always insightful; a true page-turner…page after page.

While the book makes good reading for anyone, young or old, it is especially helpful for the more novice intent on navigating their career through the sometimes treacherous, corporate waters. To paraphrase similar reviews from several readers, “every college student should read this book before venturing out into the real world…and if they’ve already ventured…they better pick-up a copy quick and read it.”

Lastly, this book is so much more than helping people be successful at work, it’s about discovering how to earn self-respect and enjoy life. After all, as the Author says, “That’s the ultimate success. Anything more is a bonus.” You will thoroughly enjoy reading, A Lifetime Working with Idiots & How to Survive. Pick up your copy today and start your journey.

Book Review

Not a single college text book or Professor prepared me for entering and succeeding in today’s workplace. It was pure academia; nothing “hands-on”. Finally, here was a book that, as funny as it is, provided a “no nonsense”, “straight-up”, “get-ahead”, “real-world” view of do(s) and don’t(s); practical and applicable. Whether you’re a veteran of the workplace or a novice, this book can help all of us to become successful and more importantly, enjoy life. – Robert M.
